Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer within the Corporate Support and Sustainability team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The role is based in the Corporate Support and Sustainability department, working in a small team, supporting and reporting to the Head of Corporate Support and Sustainability.

We are looking for someone who is motivated and enthusiastic, with excellent organisational and communication skills. The role will require you to multi-task, utilising your extensive administrative experience to cover a variety of areas including patient experience, events, staff engagement and communication, financial support, project support, and activities relating to CQC visits.

Main duties of the job

  •  Oversee the maintenance and update of Corporate Support and Sustainability record information, making suggestions on how these can be improved for better recording. 
  • Undertake and instigate project work as directed. 
  • Represent the service reporting data as requested. 
  • Produce accurate and timely analytical and statistical reports as requested. 
  • Assist with investigating incidents and complaints. 
  • Deal with enquiries face to face, via telephone and email supporting junior staff with more difficult situations. 
  • Monitor expenditure against target areas. 
  • Ensure appropriate stock levels and resources are available. 
  • Work flexibly to provide cover for colleagues across the department as required. 
  •  Any other duties as required.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level or NVQ level 5 or equivalent experience
  • Customer Service/ Business or Project Admin /ITQ or equivalent professional experience
Desirable criteria
  • Project qualification or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of project support, managing staff/a busy office environment
  • Experience of working with datasets including analysis and collation
  • Complex administrative experience including input and analysis of data, producing reports and working with documentation systems
  • Prioritising, planning and organising own and others tasks
  • Experience of dealing with difficult situations and confrontations
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience working in the NHS

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Confidentiality and data protection processes and procedures
  • Customer service
  • Good working knowledge of office procedures and all Microsoft office packages
  • Awareness of the Trust SFI and contract procurement standards
