Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a nurse specialist as part of a close-knit heart failure team, supported by senior consultants and other members of our MDT.
You will be a key member of the team, influencing service development and involved in internal audit, research and Heart Failure data base input.
This Heart Failure Specialist Nurse role will require you to manage the care of complex heart failure patients incorporating assessment in the outpatient and ambulatory care setting for an often-challenging group of patients.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the provision of high quality, patient focused care for those with heart failure both in the in-patient and community setting.
Responsible for providing specialist advice and support to improve adherence to evidence based clinical guidelines.

Essential criteria
- Registered nurse
- Relevant experience in speciality
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Teaching or mentoring qualification
- Post registration qualification in speciality or willingness to complete
Desirable criteria
- Advanced Clinical Assessment course at Level 7
- Relevant IT skills to incorporate audit and research
Experience
