Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radiographic Department Assistant to join our multi-disciplinary team at Cambridge Breast Unit. The service delivers both breast screening and symptomatic mammography. We perform a range of examinations and interventional procedures such as ultrasound core biopsies.

As a Radiographic Department Assistant in the Cambridge Breast Unit, you will be part of a dedicated team providing a high-quality patient-centred breast service. You will be required to assist in ultrasound examinations for the cancer pathway referrals and prepare for the Cambridgeshire and Huntingdon Breast Screening service to assist in a smooth delivery of this service.

Main duties of the job

To undertake a range of duties including technical, clinical and clerical to support the patients' pathway through the Breast Unit and Imaging Directorate as and when required.
