Clinical Quality Improvement Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Improvement Nurse Manager to lead and coordinate initiatives aimed at enhancing patient experience and safety within Division D.
The post-holder will be responsible for implementing safety protocols, improving patient experience, and fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement.
The post holder will work collaboratively with Divisional Quality Governance Team to oversee all aspects of quality governance, within Division D. The post holder will be a fundamental part of the Quality Governance Team for the Division, ensuring that services meet the required level of quality assurance standards within the Trust

Providing clinical leadership and professional support to all nursing and wider team of staff. Ensuring high quality, safe patient care is delivered by an appropriately skilled and educated workforce, through effective leadership by setting standards and performance monitoring of those standards.
Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure a high standard of quality care delivery including - safety, effectiveness and patient experience, learning from feedback and patient and public involvement strategies.

Qualifications

- Current and relevant NMC registration
- Teaching and assessing qualification.
- Degree in health-related subject
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Management/Leadership training
- Patient safety investigator training – PSIRF, PSII, AAR or working towards

- Certification in Patient Safety or Quality Improvement
- Quality Improvement training
- Master’s degree or willingness to undertake.
Experience

- Significant experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience in monitoring auditing Nursing Quality metrics, Nursing KPIs that relates to patient safety and experience and initiating quality improvement based on findings.
- Demonstrated experience in collating analysing and interpreting Quality related data to improve patient care.
- Proven track record of leading and implementing change.
- Experience as a PSIRF, PSII investigator, After Action Review (AAR) facilitator or a strong willingness to become one

- Experience in a Band 6 role or equivalent.
- Experience with risk management and incident investigation.
Knowledge

- In-depth understanding of patient safety principles and practices.
- Knowledge of PSIRF, NHS policies and procedures, related to patient safety and quality.
- Awareness of current Nursing and healthcare legislation and regulations.

- Knowledge of system reviews, specific patient safety frameworks and tools (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode Effect Analysis).
Skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficient in data analysis and interpretation.
- Ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.

- Willingness to work flexible hours participate on Senior Nursing on call rota including weekend working as needed.
