Job overview

If you are aged 16-18 years old, why not join the Young Person’s Programme (YPP) Volunteering Team?

Volunteering is about making a difference for patients. Volunteers play a vital role as part of the team, contributing to the well-being of our patients. YPP volunteers work alongside ward staff and engage with our patients that are lonely, isolated or anxious, giving them the opportunity to communicate.

The next YPP programme will be starting in January 2025 and we are now looking for applicants.  You will need to demonstrate a clear motivation for volunteering and a genuine interest in helping others and embrace our Trust values of Together - Safe, Kind, Excellent.

To apply you must have turned 16 on or before 21st October 2024.

Please read our web pages before applying:

Normally the volunteering duty is one shift per week, lasting two hours from 16:30-18:30 on a designated weekday (Monday-Friday).

If shortlisted, you will be invited to attend an on-line interview. These will be taking place the week commencing 28th October 2024. If you are successful and offered a place on the Young Person's Programme, you will need to complete mandatory training and an induction.
