Mental Health Staff Nurse

Band 5

Trosolwg o'r swydd

I’m George, Staff Nurse for Mulberry 2. I was drawn to work on the Mulberry wards as a newly qualified nurse because of the knowledge and skills you can gain from working within inpatient services. I feel supported by the team and find it rewarding to work with patients who are able to actively engage with their treatment, I love working as part of a multidisciplinary team in this fast-paced, innovative model.

At CPFT our adult inpatient wards operate an exciting, ambitious model of care, known as the 3-3-3 model, focussed on providing the right care at the right time. The Cambridge Wards are known as the Mulberry Wards; Mulberry 1 our Acute Assessment Unit, where patients stay up to 3 days, Mulberry 2, our Treatment ward, where patients stay up to 3 weeks, and Mulberry 3, our Recovery Unit, where patients stay up to 3 months.

Working on the Mulberry wards you get to support patients on their journey from an episode of acute illness towards recovery. The model is designed to support patients in accessing appropriate treatment and preventing unnecessary lengthy hospital stays.
