Job overview

We are looking for an Integrated Neighbourhood Project Manager to join our small innovative team covering Cambridge City. This role is perfect for anyone with a background in designing, managing, and delivering projects, with a passion for working collaboratively, taking a people centred approach and empowering othersWe are looking for someone keen to learn how they can use their energy, knowledge, and experience to support the development of Integrated Neighbourhoods. 

Your role will be to bring partners and communities together, helping Integrated Neighbourhoods to collectively identify how they can improve care and support, and then to deliver this change and transformation collaboratively 

You will act as a relationship builder and connector, helping to join partners up and try new ways of working at a time of significant pressures and challenges. You will provide transformation and project management expertise to make positive changes, build strong and sustainable foundations for Integrated Neighbourhoods and to tackle inequalities

This is a full-time position.  However, we would welcome flexible working / reduced hours proposals, long term secondments (please seek your managers permission before applying) will also be considered. 

Main duties of the job

  • Provide transformation support and project management for the Integrated Neighbourhoods programme of work.  

  • Review population health data and support public engagement to determine local needs and how citizens can shape the improvement of their health and care support.  

  • Be responsible for supporting the service redesign and delivery of specific projects within the Integrated Neighbourhood particularly around long-term conditions and health inequalities. 

  • Work closely to build relationships and bring partners and communities together to create a shared vision, priorities and make positive changes to the way we collaboratively support our community’s health & wellbeing.  

  • Work closely with Clinical leaders, Primary Care, the acute sector, community services, health commissioners, local leaders, local authorities, voluntary and community organisations, and the public to support the development of the service design. 

  • You may line manage project support officers and will work closely and collaboratively with the other Integrated Neighbourhood Project and Programme Managers

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level with further training to post graduate diploma level or equivalent professional experience
  • Able to demonstrate ongoing personal development

  • Management Qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of successful delivery of an organisation wide project in a service improvement role
  • Experience of planning organisational resources to support programme / project implementation
  • Business and service planning experience
  • Experience in change management
  • Service redesign with a health, social care or voluntary sector environment
  • Co-design and co-production
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of Cambridgeshire/ Peterborough health and care system

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Commissioning, Acute, community services, Council and Voluntary and Community Sector services
Desirable criteria
  • NHS governance
  • Payment mechanisms between organisations (PbR, QIPP, QOF)
  • Acute contracting

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to foster good working relationships, motivate others and use influencing and negotiating skills
  • Ability to obtain, analyse and interpret complex data and present this to others though slides/ documents
  • Excellent IT skills including in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prioritise / respond flexibly to frequently changing demands
  • Skilled in business process and redesign of services

  • Understanding of NHS change agenda, tools and techniques
  • Understanding of NHS information systems
  • Understanding of Clinical Audit methodology
  • Project management qualification (PRINCE 2)
