AMHP Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide efficient and effective administrative support within the AMHP service.
You will be part of a team of 3 Administrators within this service with a base at the Cavell Centre, Peterborough.
Hybrid working is an option for this role but office presence is encouraged and may be needed on occasion at our other Cambridge and Huntingdon offices.

Take referrals for Mental Health Act assessments, some of which may be of a distressing nature. These calls could be from a ward, community team, police, hospitals or other service or an individual.
Enter the details on the system in a timely manner, alerting the duty AMHPs to the referral.
Deal discreetly and efficiently with telephone calls and to relay messages as per agreed local procedures /systems. That all contact; written, direct and verbal is effective, courteous and professional, conveying a high level of customer care.
Liaise with consultants and medical staff, community services, general practitioners and any other person in an efficient manner.
To record and maintain the integrity of data /information using agreed procedures to enable safe storage and prompt retrieval of information on the IT systems including both CPFT and CCC bespoke systems.
To support the AMHP Manager, AMHP's and Senior Admin to ensure the service runs smoothly, efficiently and professionally

- Assist in the delivery and development of service, using information systems to generate reports, documents and letters when requested.
- Undertake general clerical and administrative tasks to support the service as required
- To ensure that all correspondence is copied onto the Trust and CCC electronic records system in a timely manner.
- To be aware that all work dealt with is of a highly confidential and sensitive nature and to comply with the requirements of the Caldicott Report, the Data Protection Act, Access to Health Records Act and subsequent legislation issued in relation to confidential data.
- To provide ad hoc assistance to the Social Care administrators as and when necessary, especially in the event of absence due to annual, study or sick leave. For example, providing telephone cover, attending meetings and minute taking.
- To ensure that all duties are carried out to the highest standard, and in accordance with current quality initiatives within the work area.

- Good command of written English
