Become a Vital Part of Ward A4's Housekeeping Excellence!

Upper GI and Vascular (General Surgery) Ward A4 has an exciting part-time opportunity for a dedicated housekeeper to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the ward, serving as a vital link between the ward and hospital support services.

Working pattern 15 hours per week worked over Wednesday and Friday.

As a housekeeper, your responsibilities will include:

  • Meeting and greeting new patients and visitors, providing them with updated information about patient flow and requirements for fluid and nutrition.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and tidiness throughout the ward, reporting any issues to the senior nurse.
  • Ensuring the ward remains orderly at all times and handling emergencies, spots, spills, and floods promptly.
  • Cleaning specialist equipment according to local policies, including drip stands, O2 and suction units, crash trolleys, ECG machines, and infusion pumps.
