Join Our Team as a Junior Doctors Induction Coordinator at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust

 In this role, you will facilitate the operational aspects of the Junior Doctors induction programmes, providing essential guidance and welcome information to new Junior Doctors during their inductions. You will liaise with various departments and corporate education trainers to ensure the smooth running of induction programmes and essential training sessions.ng with the College Tutors and Clinical Leads.

Main duties of the job

A key responsibility will be to support the tracking, recording, and reporting of essential training compliance, contributing to a digitalised programme of corporate induction and departmental training. This role is varied and interesting, carrying high levels of responsibility.

Additionally, you will provide administrative support to postgraduate education processes, utilising administrative systems to implement, monitor, and maintain high standards of educational practice. The ability to work independently, using initiative to meet tight deadlines, and possessing excellent communication skills are essential for this position.

You will also be responsible for organizing and coordinating educational events, managing complex databases, and preparing qualitative and quantitative reports from Local Faculty Groups and Local Authority Boards, in collaboration with College Tutors and Clinical Leads.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent experience
  • High standard of written and verbal English
Desirable criteria
  • General knowledge of policies, procedures and practices of undergraduate and postgraduate medical education

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of preparing induction programmes, reports and data collaboration
  • High level knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience of working within Medical Education or Medical Staffing
  • Experience of working in an NHS Hospital or healthcare environment

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Ability to work autonomously, to take responsibility and to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Prioritising workload based on immediate and longer-term action needed to maintain all elements of the training programme and curriculum requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through both written and verbal communications across different levels of the organisation and with external partners.
  • Good negotiating skills with the ability to act with tact and diplomacy with all members of the healthcare team.
