Neonatal Outreach Nursery Nurse - Peterborough

Are you passionate about facilitating and supporting the transition of care for neonates and their families from the neonatal unit to home?

We are looking for someone dedicated to implementing and evaluating care programs, ensuring a high standard of family-centred, evidence-based care in both the neonatal unit and the community. Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  • Participate in assessing and evaluating planned care programs for individual babies and their families within the community neonatal caseload.
  • Provide consistent and appropriate advice to parents, supported by relevant information before discharge, to facilitate optimal care for babies at home.
  • Assist parents in developing their parenting skills and reinforce positive parental behavior.
  • Collaborate in discharge planning and care delivery with external agencies, such as community midwives and health visitors.
  • Conduct home visits professionally according to current caseload management and visiting schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with Trust policies and procedures within the work area, promptly informing relevant senior colleagues of any issues affecting policy implementation.

  • Previous experience in a care setting of newborns

  • Willingness to attend study days
  • Awareness of own strengths and weaknesses and how these can be developed/ utilised to benefit staff and patients
  • Can demonstrate flexible approach to work pattern in line with service requirements
