Join us in a dynamic role as the Network IT & Digital Domain Lead for the ME-5 Pathology Network.  This is an ideal opportunity to lead strategic initiatives and drive innovation in IT & Digital realms whilst enhancing your leadership skills.

As the Network IT & Digital Domain Lead you will craft and implement strategies aligned with NHS England’s Pathology Transformation Maturity Matrix, focusing particularly on Domain 5- IT & Digital, where your efforts will directly impact the delivery of healthcare services and patient outcomes.

This predominantly home based role will be hosted by North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust but will cover the ME5 Pathology Network which includes three Foundation Trusts – Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS FT, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS FT, North West Anglia NHS FT. The Network also works closely with Royal Papworth Hospital NHS FT and the UKHSA microbiology service at Cambridge.

The post is offered as a fixed term or secondment opportunity working 18.75 hours per week.  Whilst we recognise the importance of accommodating individual circumstances and are willing to consider various patterns, you may be required to participate in meetings on any day of the week and so we strongly encourage applicants to discuss the role with Robert Simpson Interim Network Director, before applying (email [email protected] to arrange a convenient time)

Qualifications and Training

Essential criteria
  • Relevant Masters degree or equivalent level of knowledge, experience and skills
  • Able to demonstrate ongoing personal development
  • Significant training or experience in IT & Digital programme management.
Desirable criteria
  • Membership of relevant professional body or equivalent (e.g. Fed.IP, FCI)
  • Masters level (Digital) Management/Leadership course or qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of successful delivery of multi-organisation IT & Digital programmes and projects in a service improvement role
  • Experience of planning organisational resources to support programme/ project implementation
  • Business and service planning experience
  • Experience in change management
  • Demonstrable experience of service redesign within a health or social care setting

Key Skills/Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of IT, Digital and health intelligence, benchmarking and data sources
  • Ability to analyse and act upon complex information from various sources
  • Able to prepare reports that are lucid, informative and persuasive
  • Ability to effectively hold to account and recognise when to appropriately escalate
  • Proven ability to initiate, implement and drive processes on an organisation wide scale
  • Ability to meet deadlines and turn round work to short timescales
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to co-ordinate and prioritise tasks
