Healthcare Assistant - Stamford

We are a highly motivated and welcoming department, You will be working in a team primarily based at Stamford and Rutland Hospital covering a variety of medical and surgical specialties.

The hours of work are around the needs of the service between
8.00 a.m. and 6.30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd
Assist the nursing staff, clinicians and service users within the Outpatients services on a daily basis
Meet & greet patients and service users during clinic times
Manage clinic activity in a timely manner
Basic use of computer programmes and appointment lists
A completed competency is required for: ECGs, bladder scanning, urine testing, pregnancy testing and for carrying out & recording patient observations.
Must have the care certificate qualification or equivalent NVQ.
Training will be provided for specific ophthalmology clinic requirements and other specific clinic requirements.

Contribute to the overall assessment of patients including recording of basic observations including additional skills.
To work closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
To communicate appropriately with healthcare professionals, patients and carers regarding any information or instruction as required.
To document fully and precisely any observations undertaken.
Carry out chaperone duties.
Demonstrate a commitment to continued personal development, undertaking training to develop skills that are relevant to the clinic area.
Participate in the moving and handling of patients requiring assistance.
Assist in the preparation and support of patients undergoing procedures & treatments.
Always acting in the patients best interests.
