Job overview
An Exciting opportunity has become available for a band 4 Senior Supply Chain Manager based out of Bridgend Regional Warehouse covering the Receipt and Distributions (R&D) site across South and West Wales. You will be working alongside Regional Site Managers, Assistant Regional Supply Chain Mangers to ensure that all Receipt and Distribution Stores are compliant and working within the principles and policies of the department. The role is diverse and will require you to travel to the R&D sites to assist with our Integrated Medium Term Plan [IMTP] with modernising processes, reviewing procedures in line with NWSSP Document Management System [DMS], working closely with all the managers/stakeholders to achieve the outcome required. The main responsibility of the role is to support all sites with Internal/External Audits, support Site Management Cover where required along with supporting/promoting Health and Safety at sites.

To supervise the distribution of Workload to staff in line with policy & process.
To ensure adequate resources & equipment are available for daily workloads.
To be responsible for the General security of the Receipts area.
To supervise staff activity ensuring the service provides for and meets required standard for Customers.
To supervise when required, the allocation of staff to various daily tasks to maintain an effective and efficient stores operation.
To maintain and update specific information in line with quality procedures.
To assist in the punctual and appropriate unloading of vehicles and staging of items to be distributed.
To supervise and oversee the booking in process.
To assist Management in the implementation of modernisation of processes.
To assist in the monitoring of staff performance, utilising various audit methods to analyse the information.

Essential criteria
- Educated to HNC/Diploma level and or equivalent experience in a Stores environment.
Desirable criteria
- Experience in policy and proposed changes to practice
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Knowledge and Experience of Risk Assessments and identifying risk within a busy environment.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of systems developments enhancements to support services.
