Job overview

Applications are invited for Senior Clinical Fellow post in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with interest in minimal access surgery, to start in September. This is  a  fixed term post for 1 year. The post is based in University Hospital of Wales (UHW) and University Hospital Llandough (UHL) sites. This post offers an excellent opportunity for gaining advanced training in Endometriosis and minimal access surgery. The post is full time and we are supportive of less than fulltime working if required. This post is suitable for grades ST5 and above.

 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will participate in 1:10 on call rota 3rd on call, EWTD compliant). They have an opportunity to participate in weekly teaching programme, audit and research activities within the department in addition to providing clinical care.

  • MBBS or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • MRCOG part 1 and 2

Experience

  • Experience of working at ST5 or above
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in the UK at Registrar level

  • Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English
  • Up to date with current medical practices
  • Ability to take appropriate clinical decisions when necessary
