Trosolwg o'r swydd

We are looking for two enthusiastic, innovative mental health nurses to take up the position of Day Service Deputy Ward Manager in Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP). They will be an integral part of developing MHSOP Day Services which comprises of:  Assessment & Recovery Unit (ARU) in Llandough Hospital and Grand Avenue Care Hub (which is an integrated service with Cardiff Local Authority) in Ely, Cardiff. We require someone who is an expert clinician and passionate about working with older people with a complex dementia and/ or unstable complex mental health.

The MHSOP Day Services provides a holistic 6-8 week assessment with focused interventions that promote recovery, hope, well-being and build on people’s strengths. MHSOP Day Services provide an integrated service at Grand Avenue Day Centre, in conjunction with Cardiff Social Services, for people who have complex dementia and enduring mental and physical health conditions who may need longer assessment and support. The role will include working across both sites. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30-16.30.

The Band 6 role will involve management duties, supporting staff and holding a caseload of patients. You will be working within a supportive and nurturing multi disciplinary team who will support your professional development. There will be opportunities to provide individual and group based psychological interventions. The MHSOP Day Service team will offer support, supervision and training opportunities. You will need to be a registered mental health nurse to apply for this position.

 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
