RSU Administrator - Revalidation and Quality

Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrator to join HEIW’s Revalidation Support Unit. The position is offered as fixed term/secondment until 28 February 2026 to cover maternity leave.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience in an administrative role, complemented by high-quality administrative and IT skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with others. Enthusiasm, flexibility, and a willingness to work together as part of a high-performing team are also important.

About the Revalidation Support Unit (RSU)
The RSU is a professional unit within HEIW that aims to support and improve professional standards across Wales. The unit is responsible for:
- Management of the GP Appraisal Process for all GPs in Wales on behalf of the Health Boards.
- Leading on medical appraisal quality management systems and providing support for medical revalidation.
- Delivery of CPD events, training, and resources.
- Development and management of online systems to support appraisal and revalidation.
Although this post has been advertised as a fixed term appointment, NHS staff will be offered the appointment as a secondment. If you wish to apply as a secondment opportunity, you must have your line manager’s approval. This post may be extended or made permanent at the end of the fixed term/secondment period depending on available funding and business needs.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:
- provide comprehensive administrative support for the revalidation and quality management work programme, including organising meetings, events, and quality assurance visits to health boards.
- serve as first point of contact for key stakeholders
- provide support once a week to the RSU’s online systems service desk
- collate and maintain data from quality management activities
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
