Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Digital Learning Team working on a variety of exciting project developments, which includes developing learning content creation and competency frameworks and providing support to our new Learning Management System.  

Working closely with the Digital Learning team and HEIW colleagues, you will identify with key stakeholders their learning requirements and subsequently help them develop an appropriate plan to deliver engaging E Learning which could take many forms such as interactive learning content, competency frameworks, video and static content and webinars.

This post is fixed term/secondment for 21 months to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

This will involve scoping projects, recommending appropriate solutions, working closely with key stakeholders, manging project deliverables to a successful conclusion, coaching and training stakeholders, and providing Learning Management System support to HEIW colleagues and learners.

Utilise your strong E learning background to help us deliver engaging content for our diverse workforce.  

·       Utilise your instructional design skills to provide engaging content achieving learning outcomes.

·       You will demonstrate experience of working with a variety of content authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline/360.

·       Good understanding of Learning Management Systems

·       Experience of supporting virtual learning webinar events

·       Knowledge of developing competency frameworks desirable

Qualifications & Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong knowledge of Pedagogical practices and how to implement them into an online learning resource
  • Sound knowledge of developing resources within successful projects
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
Desirable criteria
  • Project Management Qualification
  • ITIL version 4 certificate Hold a PGCE or equivalent training qualification
  • Competency Framework Development

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Strong working knowledge of Virtual Learning Environments and delivering distanced learning.
  • Experience and understanding of change and information management within a healthcare environment.
  • Working knowledge of SCORM packages and publishing learning content
  • Proven experience of managing eLearning development projects and an appreciation of instructional design with eLearning methodologies
  • Experience of using well-known third-party software to rapidly develop learning resources (e.g. Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline 360 or equivalent)
  • Experience of training, particularly in an adult education setting e.g. LMS platforms
  • Strong working knowledge of LMS course & content development
  • Experience of LMS administration and reporting
  • Experience of user enrolment
  • Experience of user support/service desk environments
Desirable criteria
  • Previously worked within an NHS setting with knowledge of NHS processes and structures
  • Strong working knowledge of delivering blended learning
  • Experience of delivering online webinars to large audiences (Using systems such as Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, Teams, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat Connect or similar)
  • Experience of developing competency frameworks linking to associated learning programmes
  • Graphic design experience and video creation
