We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional candidate to join Public Health Wales as a Senior Workplace Health Adviser for the Healthy Working Wales team within the Health Improvement Division of Public Health Wales. This role will hold specific responsibility for programme development and implementation of workstreams relating to the health and care sectors.

Main duties of the job

Supporting the health and wellbeing of our large health and social care workforce in Wales is extremely important given they undertake often challenging roles in delivering essential services to the population.

 

Healthy Working Wales is a Welsh Government funded programme working across Wales to support and encourage employers to create healthier workplaces through developing and sustaining environments, policies and activities that protect health and promote good health.  The programme helps employers to achieve a range of positive business and organisational outcomes while also contributing to the health and wellbeing of the working age population in Wales.

 

The individual will lead the development and implementation of workplace health and wellbeing initiatives within the health and care sectors across Wales.  They will provide highly specialist advice to individual or groups of employers, drawing on the best available international evidence base for action and using expertise in organisational change approaches.   The individual will provide specialist advice and support development of guidance, tools and briefings at an All-Wales level for health and social care employers.

 

The ability and willingness to travel across Wales, including some overnight stays to support delivery, is essential to the role.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
