Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking to recruit a Project and Commissioning Manager on a secondment or fixed term basis for 12 months to support the relocation and accreditation of the Sexual Assault Referral Centre and service in Ceredigion.

This post is an exciting role which will provide support to the Sexual Health and Capital Planning Team, Project Director and operational managers to ensure that the preparation for service moves associated with the project phases are planned.

Successful candidates should have a proactive approach to solving problems and also have effective communications skills and be able to build good working relationships. Proven experience at managerial level and experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team are also essential.

Applicants should be educated to post graduate degree level or equivalent experience and have project management experience.

Interviews will be held in person at St David's Park, Carmarthen and the successful candidate will be expected to work from the Carmarthen office and will need to travel to Aberystwyth on a regular basis.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will lead on the planning, implementation and delivery of specific plans for the operational managers and Capital Planning Team as required by the Project Director to ensure support with the relocation and accreditation of the Sexual Assault Referral Centre and service in Ceredigion.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 12,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services to almost 400,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. Community facilities, including:

48 General Practices (GP surgeries), 49 Dental Practices, 98 Community Pharmacies (chemists), 44 General Ophthalmic Practices (including eye health and low vision services), 38 sites providing mental health and learning disability services, care within your own homes

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
