Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Trauma & Orthopaedics Team within Hywel Dda. This is a full time post - 37.5 hours per week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for data collection and validation, as well as the inputting of data into the Health Boards systems such as the National Joint Registry and the National Hip Fracture Database; these assist the clinical teams with measuring patient outcomes.
The base of the position will be Glangwili General Hospital.
Main duties of the job
To provide data input and analytical support to the Trauma & Orthopaedic Management Team.
The role includes the development and provision of relevant, accurate and timely information to support Management reporting, statutory returns and adhoc requests.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

Essential criteria
- Vocational level 3 qualification in an administrative or data related area
- Competent use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to extract relevant information
Desirable criteria
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office ie ECDL
- Knowledge of NHS processes , precisions and terminology
- Knowledge of PAS
Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous experience with data handling and large volume data input
- Experience of working to deadlines
- Previous experience working in a busy office
Desirable criteria
- Previous exposure to NHS would be desirable

- Ability to travel across the Health Board in a timely manner
