Job overview

We are looking for motivated and dynamic Health Care Support Worker, who is able to work under pressure, to join our dedicated team of staff on the Acute medical assessment unit in Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli. 

We pride ourselves on having a friendly and welcoming team, both Nursing and Medical, where you never feel alone and you get the support that you need. 

Main duties of the job

The unit is made up of 24 beds and includes 3 resus beds where we are able to directly admit emergency patients  from the ambulances. 

The unit requires Health Care Support Workers who are keen to learn and able to adopt a flexible approach to work. There is an opportunity to learn new skills and develop professionally within a positive and challenging environment .  The unit operates a variety of shift patterns to suit service requirements including days/night rotation. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

48 General Practices (GP surgeries), 49 Dental Practices, 98 Community Pharmacies (chemists), 44 General Ophthalmic Practices (including eye health and low vision services), 38 sites providing mental health and learning disability services, care within your own homes.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
