Are you the kind of administrator that really gets things done and proactively seeks out opportunities to improve systems? If so, then we have an exciting new role supporting the All Age Disability Care Group. The new post of Business Support Manager will provide management oversight to our existing business support staff to support them in their work. You will also provide support to the management team in the wider governance of the care group. This involves preparing agendas, supporting with monitoring performance and budget information, compiling reports for contract meetings, and being an integral part of our management team to drive forward our quality improvement agenda. You will need to be the type of person who has a keen eye for detail, good IT skills and an enthusiasm for seeking out what needs to be done and then making it happen.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have a key role in the integrated governance of the
Care Group ensuring that there is a coordinated approach to governance, risk and performance, and that the management team have the necessary support to undertake the business of the care group including new
business opportunities, tender processes and innovation applications.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Degree in Business Administration or equivalent level of business experience
- Computer qualification ECDL or equivalent level of experience
Desirable criteria
- Finance or Budget Management Qualification
- PRINCE2
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of current issues within health/social services setting
- Understanding of integrated governance arrangements within an NHS setting
- Knowledge to interrogate systems to provide sound performance management data
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of continued professional development and working at high managerial level
Experience
Essential criteria
- 2 years managerial experience within a NHS/Public Organisation working within a multidisciplinary setting with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external
- Experience of providing supervision/mentoring to groups of staff
- Experience of establishing effective systems for performance management
- Experience of preparing agenda and the production of clear and concise minutes
Desirable criteria
- Experience of service user involvement
- Experience of the recruitment and deployment of staff resources including change management processes

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
