Job overview

**This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the ‘ECT Family’ this includes current East Cheshire NHS Trust employees, bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust.** 

This really is an exciting  opportunity to join our Digital Services Team supporting the Digital Communication Manager, with appropriate training provided, to manage our new telephony system throughout the Trust.

The post holder will be responsible for the timely response to all telephony and emergency bleep related issues and needs to keep logs, diagnose, fix and escalate to Digital Communications Manager as appropriate.

Full training program will be provided.  The post holder will assist in the management of the trust telephony system across all sites, support evolving project demands and maintain equipment supplies.

The post requires excellent organisational, coordination and communication skills, attention to detail and data quality.

Hours per week: 37.5

Main duties of the job

  1. The role has specific responsibility to support and deputise for the Digital Communication Manager (the telephony provision for the whole trust).
  2. The post holder will analyse system problems resulting from user errors or system malfunctions and develop and implement solutions, working with the Digital Communications Manager and the suppliers (telephony, mobile devices, bleeps)
  3. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that software installation and application upgrades are carried out effectively and efficiently, minimising disruption to users.
  4. Responsible for scheduling training sessions where applicable.
  5. Support the implementation of new system functionality.
  6. The post holder will maintain standard operating procedures regarding application use and ensure that all relevant policies are applied and adhered to.
  7. Support and manage robust change control

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to A-level or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 A-Levels including Mathematics and English Language
  • Computer literacy
Desirable criteria
  • Qualification in IT related subjects
  • ITIL Foundation OR
  • Experience working in an IT support or training environment
