Job overview
This is an exciting and challenging digital role which focuses on relationships and not technology. You will act as the bridge between Trust users and our internal and external support teams, ensuring services are maintained at the highest levels. We are a small, friendly Trust, but hold big ambitions to transform our services with digital technology, meaning this role is key. We are a small, friendly team who are proud of our excellent reputation for providing high quality services. Hybrid working is embraced and the successful candidate will be expected to be on site a minimum of two days per week to build and maintain those important relationships. Flexibility will be key, with the need to respond to service incidents, including out of hours, if and when required.
Your key day to day relationships will be with the Digital Programme Manager and Chief Nursing Information Officer.
Digital Services sit within the Transformation and Partnership's Directorate which includes Service Improvement and Strategy. Together we provide a holistic development capability for the Trust.
Hours per week: 37.5
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Digital Services operational team, which includes both Trust staff and outsourced IT service provision. They will promote the concept of ‘One Team’ to ensure the delivery of safe, secure and highly available digital systems and infrastructure for the Trust. The post holder will deputise for the CIO as required.

Essential criteria
- Masters degree or equivalent experience
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Extensive Knowledge of IT based standards, application management standards,
- Good general knowledge and understanding of operational working within an integrated NHS Trust
Skills
Essential criteria
- Excellent written skills for the production of effective documentation
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills including the ability to work within a team, demonstrate initiative, excellent customer service skills and work to timescales with a flexible approach.
Experience

- Significant proven experience in Digital Services/ service delivery support and management.
