Job overview

Applicants are invited to apply for a secondment post of Band 5 Staff nurse in Ophthalmology based at Macclesfield District General Hospital and Congleton War Memorial Hospital in the Planned Care Directorate. 

The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly and provide high quality care with particular emphasis on:-

  • Assessment and review of patients with chronic ophthalmic conditions
  • To provide support with Ophthalmology scans and extended role areas across Macclesfield and Congleton sites.

Hours per week: 24 

Main duties of the job

The nurse will assist in the identification of health needs and participate in the delivery and evaluation of care interventions developed to meet those needs under the supervision of a registered Practitioner.

Supervision may be direct/indirect depending upon level of competency and the complexity of work.
