Whether you are just starting out in your career or are looking to use your skills and experience in a new role, East Cheshire NHS Trust is the right employer for you. An organisation with a real sense of community we actively support and develop our staff to ensure our patients receive the best quality care. Join our team and support our vision of delivering the right care first time, every time.

Job overview

We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Specialty Doctor - Radiologist to work within the Radiology department at East Cheshire NHS Trust. The successful candidate will join a happy, friendly and enthusiastic group of 8 consultants, an associate specialist, a clinical fellow and a team of highly experienced Radiographers.

We are seeking 1 full time (10 PA's including on call 1:8 rota) candidate to support us in providing General Radiology services.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be required to support the current team in providing an all-round General Radiology service including US, CT, MR and Plain film reporting as well as any chosen subspecialty area of expertise.

At the Trust, we are keen to support a healthy work life balance, therefore On-call reporting can be performed from home via tele-radiology and overnight CT scans are outsourced to an external company from 8 PM - 8 AM, 7 days a week.

The department offers high quality CT, MR, US, Plain film and Flouroscopy services. There are regular MDT's in various modalities and we have established links with tertiary centres in Manchester, where needed.

The successful candidate would have an interest in Urology or Gynae or another specific speciality to support MDT.

As a department we are proud to be pioneers in role extension. We currently have a group of reporting Radiographers that massively support this system. We are keen to develop in other areas, and would encourage anyone who is as keen on developing as we are to apply for this fantastic position.
