Job overview
**This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the ‘ECT Family’ this includes current East Cheshire NHS Trust employees, both NHSP and ECT bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from applicants not listed within these groups.**
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our fantastic and friendly team in Therapy Adult Acute services at Macclesfield District General Hospital. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, experienced and passionate about occupational therapy. They will have excellent communication and organisational skills and will be a key member of the team in providing the highest quality care during the patients' stay.

Main duties of the job
The role of an Occupational Therapist is to undertake assessment of patients with a wide range of conditions and to work as autonomous clinicians. Working under the guidance of Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapists as required, using accurate analytical skills and clinical reasoning to interpret assessment findings, making diagnoses where appropriate, identifying patient problems, setting goals, and providing an appropriate treatment plan and progression.

- Experience of contributing to individual & group interventions for patients & settings relevant to the role
- Broad range of clinical experience as a student in NHS settings
