NHS AfC: Band 6

Trosolwg o'r swydd

The CT/MRI service at Warrington and Halton Hospital has vacancies for friendly and enthusiastic radiographers. The successful candidates will have experience working within the NHS and have evidence of experience/interest in CT and MRI.

If you have a caring nature, excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a busy but supportive environment then the Cross-Sectional Radiographer role at Warrington and Halton Hospitals is the job for you.

We encourage self-development and fully support attendance at National and International Conferences to ensure we get the best outcomes for our patients.  In 2019 we had delegates and presenters at UKIO, RSNA, BNMS and BEMUS and continue to support staff in this way as face-to-face conferences and courses resume.

On the Warrington site, we will soon have 3 Canon Prism CT scanners & 2 Siemens Sola 1.5T MRI scanners. In April 2020, we installed the UK’s first 640 slice Canon Aquilion One PRISM CT scanner and are a reference site for Canon. and on the Halton site there are Philips CT & 3T MRI scanners in the Captain Sir Tom Moore Centre

All our Band 6 CSI radiographers do CT Colonography, Cardiac CT Imaging and MRI breast imaging. We also provide a Cardiac MRI service and hope to expand the team as the service progresses.

Our CT out of hours cover is a resident on-call system with lucrative payments and generous rest time attached.  We do not currently operate an MRI on call system. There are lots of opportunities for voluntary overtime.

We care for our patients across three sites situated within close commuting distance from one another which provide a range of clinical experiences for our staff. The CSI team routinely work on both sites, which are connected by a free intersite bus.

We support new staff with our mentorship programme to support their transition to our Trust, ensuring that you will feel confident and competent in your role. We welcome applications from qualified radiographers regardless of experience and are happy to support staff through our training programme.

These roles are an exceptional opportunity for a committed professional with excellent interpersonal skills to further develop their experience in a supportive environment within a forward-thinking Trust.
