With in our Digestive Diseases Clinical Business Unit, band 5 Staff Nurse opportunities have arisen, on Ward A4 and Ward A5 elective. Offering full time and part time positions.
Both areas provide high quality, safe and sustainable care to our patients for a wide range of surgical specialities, such as Colorectal, Urology, Breast and UGI.
Recent in February 2024 both areas have been awards GOLD in their ward accreditation inspections, showing growth and development.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative Band 5 Staff Nurses who thrive in a challenging environment and are keen to make a positive impact on patient care.
If this is you, we would love for you to join our teams on Ward A4 and A5 elective.
Ward A4 is a 33 bedded emergency Acute Surgical Ward, with a wide range of surgical specialities
Ward A5 Elective is busy, fast paced 20 bedded Elective Surgical Ward.
The successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills, time management and organisational skills and display a genuine passion for nursing.

- Registered Nurse with a diploma/degree or relevant experience
Desirable criteria
- Mentoring/ Teaching qualification

- Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team

Desirable criteria
- Knowledge/qualification for Quality Improvement
- Surgical skills i.e Total parental nutrition, patient control analgesia, central venous access devices and complex wound management
