We are pleased to share an opportunity for a permanent  Administrator to join our highly progressive Acute Mental Health Team. This post is full time.

 We are looking for an enthusiastic, and resourceful individual with a can-do approach to join our team. You should possess a commitment to team working and a desire to deliver excellent standards of work. The successful candidate would be joining a fantastic team who support each other and strive to deliver an exceptional service for our patients and would be the first point of contact  for our patients and therefore maintain a calm and professional approach to our visitors and patients  

 We aim to provide the highest standards administrative support services to our colleagues across the west locality to maintain health, safety and, most importantly wellbeing of the people in our area.

 We want all staff members to develop their skills through training and development opportunities.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be expected to provide a comprehensive administration service including Reception, diary, and appointment management, undertake typing of correspondence, assist where applicable with reports, agenda, and minute taking in the absence of the Team Secretary. 

The successful candidate be responsible for co-ordinating the administration of inputting referrals on to our clinical system and maintaining the retrieval of information from relevant databases and to assist in the preparation of statistical, audit information on time limited projects as requested.

Liaise with GPs, Social Workers and other agencies responding to queries appropriately always ensuring confidentiality.

The successful candidate will answer the main phone line into the team, signposting calls appropriately, whilst demonstrating compassion and maintaining professional boundaries with callers.

The successful candidate will also be expected to organise and prioritise their own workload daily to ensure that time deadlines are met, and that urgent work is accommodated.

This is a rewarding and varied role and applicants must be able to demonstrate a high level of expertise in typing and keyboard skills, excellent communication skills are essential. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide cross cover for administration colleagues as and when required.

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of good typing skills e.g. RSA 111/NVQ level 111 in an admin related subject or equivalent
  • Educated to an appropriate standard of English Language to undertake the job role
