You will be based at Eggleston Court, Middlesbrough but will need to work flexibly across South Tees Foundation Trust and North Tees Foundation Trust sites
The Business Intelligence Analyst (Clinical Boards) will bring a passion to improve how we use intelligence to support our clinical services and deliver best patient outcomes. This role will provide focused support to the Group Clinical Strategy Boards using data sets from both Trusts to identify and inform service change.
You will bring a sound grounding in how we use information in the NHS to bring about improvement. You will help ensure that our operational management and clinical teams use business intelligence effectively to support service management, planning, performance and improvement. You will collaborate with colleagues to provide a responsive BI service to meet their needs.

You will work closely with the Clinical Strategy Boards and BI colleagues, across our sites and services, to ensure that information and analysis is aligned to their needs and priorities.
You will have a sound knowledge of NHS information systems, data quality, targets and metrics. You will have an understanding of demand and capacity, and the ability to relate data to the user requirements. You will have a technical skill set in informatics to query complex data sets.
You will use your organisational skills to deliver a complex workload. You will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to building working relationships.

Qualifications

- Degree or equivalent experience in health management, health information, data science or a related field.
- O Level, GCSE (A-C) or equivalent in English Language and mathematics

- Masters level degree completed or in progress or equivalent experience of working at senior level in a specialist area demonstrating equivalent critical thinking skills.
- Evidence of relevant professional development
- Project management qualification
Experience

- Experience in a data analytics role
- Proven experience of applying business intelligence in an NHS service context.
- Use NHS information systems in practice
- Proven ability to engage with services translate functional user requirements into metrics and reports.
- Experience of working with or within clinical services

- Experience of successfully delivering change and service improvement projects and initiatives.
- Experience of successful collaboration with clinical staff.
- Use of NHS intelligence resources and tools (Tableau, Benchmarking, Getting Right First Time, Model Hospital, etc)
- SQL experience
- Operational management experience in the NHS.
- Experience working and developing with Microsoft BI solutions (including SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS and Power BI)
- Experience of managing informatics projects.
Knowledge & Skills

- Data manipulation, analysis and visualisation to create queries and reports
- Ability to present information to inform decision making within organisations, translating highly complex information to clear messages for non-specialist.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, in particular, Access and Excel
