An exciting 12 month secondment opportunity has arisen to work within the Education Practice Development Team as a Clinical Practice Facilitator for the Registered Nursing Degree Apprenticeship (RNDA) learners.

The registered nurse degree apprenticeship is a two to four-year education programme.  The learners will be working towards becoming a registered nurse with a BSc Hons degree.  The course combines work-based and academic learning between South Tees hospitals NHS foundation trust and an approved higher education institute (HEI).  In this post you will be expected to support the development of clinical skills and knowledge of students undertaking the registered nurse degree apprenticeship within South Tees hospitals NHS foundation trust.

 

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

To be responsible all RNDA' learners and for developing clinical skills and knowledge through on going education and lifelong learning, ensuring that practice is up-to-date and evidence based and within the scope of practice.

To develop practice based educational programmes to enhance the knowledge and skills of the pre-registration student nurse apprentices, and other learners they may work with throughout the trust.

Work with ward/area managers and members of the multidisciplinary teams to ensure that all learners comply with the mandatory training requirements of their role, requirements of the RNDA, and any other essential evidence, and ensure all records are maintained.

Work with ward/area managers, members of the multidisciplinary teams, and the corresponding HEIs to ensure each learner has a personal development plan and is set up to record all apprenticeship evidence into assessment databases, and provide the opportunities and a framework for further development, through the trust and educational development review processes.

Develop, maintain and implement a competency framework for areas of clinical practice (where appropriate).

To be responsible for ensuring standards of care are maintained; contribute to the setting and auditing of standards of care within the trust, working alongside the practice placement facilitators to carry out essential educational audits.
