An exciting opportunity has arisen for an energetic and motivated individual to work within the STAQC team. You must be passionate about patient safety, enthusiastic about exploring new ways of working and a team player to help in the overall delivery of the accreditation programme.
Main duties of the job
Your duties will include:
- Supporting the Lead Nurse and STAQC facilitators in the facilitation of clinical areas through the process of accreditation
- Leading on the post accreditation work stream
- Administration and co-ordination role
- Audit and data collection, service improvement projects and ensure safe and effective practice

Leadership and Improvement Training
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the New and Aspiring leaders programme, and the Foundation Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. After you complete this one and a half day of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.

Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to work effectively and co-ordinate and prioritise workload without direct supervision
- Positive approach to patient care
Desirable criteria
- Experience in completing audit
- Knowledge and skills of accreditation
Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- Level 2 in Maths and English
- Foundation Degree
- NVQ Level 3 in Health or Social Care (Level 3 diploma in Health Care)
Desirable criteria
- Level 3 certificate in assessing vocational achievement
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience in working in the health care environment
Desirable criteria
- Experience of the accreditation programme
Applicant requirements
