South Tees Physiotherapy Department is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic Physiotherapists to join our Band 5 Rotations across South Tees NHS Trust. The post holders will be employed as a Rotational Physiotherapists and will have the opportunity to advance their knowledge and experience on the following rotations:
Cardiothoracics Neurology, Surgery and Rehabilitation Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Critical Care Stroke Rehabilitation Urgent Community Response
Acute Medicine Surgery Community Therapies
Orthopaedics Older Persons Medicine Paediatrics
Spinal Injuries Musculoskeletal Gym Front of House Therapies
Out-patient Treatment Units Primary Care Hospitals Vascular Surgery and Amputees
Main duties of the job
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to rotate through The James Cook University Hospital, Friarage Hospital and the community hospitals and services within South Tees, all of which have well-established, large, progressive and dynamic Physiotherapy Services that continue to develop and grow with the Trust.

The therapy team is friendly and supportive and mentorship for this role will be available from Senior Physiotherapists and Therapy Service Leads.
This post offers development in clinical and leadership skills. We have a comprehensive training programme and our staff are encouraged and supported in their CPD through workshops and clinical supervision. There is also an expectation to actively participate in audit and research.
This post is suitable for qualified physiotherapists (or those soon to be qualified) who are motivated and keen to develop their skills as a graduate and gain experience across a wide area of clinical practice.

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to:

- Promote Trust Values and Behaviours
- Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skills
- Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role
After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.

Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working as a student in the NHS
- Evidence of MDT working
- Good understanding of the structure, policies, priorities and format of the NHS
Desirable criteria
- Experience within a variety of clinical areas as a student
- Evidence of audit and research
- Knowledge of relevant national guidelines and standards
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Current HCPC registration
- BSc (Hons) or Equivalent Degree in Physiotherapy

Essential criteria
- Ability to deal with a wide range of people at all levels, including clients, carers, family, health and social care colleagues and other professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Caring and empathetic.
Desirable criteria
- Ability to efficiently prioritise a complex workload/time management

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
