South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a critical care electronic patient record lead nurse to be part of the implementation team, and establish and manage the critical care electronic patient record. They will support the EPR system analyst with configuration, maintenance, system upgrades and supporting business intelligence.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and oversight of system configuration. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring interfaces and reporting system problems and failures to IT and the external company, and assist in upgrades. The role will encompass rollout in General critical care, Cardio ICU and HDU, Neuro HDU and Spinal HDU.
This is an exciting role for someone who has critical care managerial experience and a professional registration, is technically minded and passionate about digital transformation, and who has a drive to help South Tees Hospitals NHS foundation Trust improve its digital maturity.

Knowledge and skills
Essential criteria
- Extensive and expert knowledge of critical care at Band 7 level
- Extensive and expert clinical knowledge of patient monitoring systems and critical care patient care devices
- Demonstratable knowledge of current IM&T best practice, including data protection, information governance, security, and confidentiality.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of service improvement
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
- Relevant post registration clinical course or equivalent experience
- Teaching qualification or equivalent teaching experience
- Step 2 competency

- Significant experience of working with medical devices and clinical equipment
- Experience of service improvement
- Experience working in critical care

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
