In depth Knowledge of ICD10 & OPCS4 classifications and their associated National Standards
Proven extensive knowledge of Clinical and Medical Terminology
In depth knowledge of anatomical & physiological terms

Knowledge of the importance of HRG's
Attendance on Leadership courses

Experience

Experience of engaging with a variety of staff at all levels including clinicians and directors
Substantial experience of working in a clinical coding role
Experience with leadership (courses or practical experience)
Mentoring/training experience

Experience of working in a management role within a coding department
Experience with data analysis

Good keyboard use and confidence with inputting data into patient admin system and other key corporate systems eg, PACS, WebICE systems
Strong relationship and interpersonal skills to be applied in working with a range of staff both internal and external
Demonstrable ability to lead and manage services, displaying initiative and innovative approach where necessary
Ability to work as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal skills together with the drive to work with others to implement changes despite potential resistance
