Job overview
Various exciting and challenging positions have arisen for Level 3 Apprenticeships in Multi Skilled Engineering (note: as this is a MultiSkill apprenticeship you will study and work both electrical and mechanical aspects).
Support service installations and their maintenance are an essential part of the NHS and form a vital link in Health Care Provision. The precise details of any of the apprenticeship are dependent on a number of factors that may be subject to change at various stages of the training and qualifications already obtained, however, the information below will provide an overview of the envisaged training requirements of the apprenticeship.
Main duties of the job
The apprentice will attend a College to study for the technical knowledge aspect of the apprenticeship for example one day / evening a week for the first two years and practical basic skills training as a block release for approximately 8 months. Once this has been achieved, the apprentice will then commence training towards their final assessment and completion of apprenticeship.
To follow instructions, training, guidance to achieve applicants’ Apprenticeship Standard with the time frame agreed and work with the Employers statutory requirements.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- • Minimum Grade B / 5 GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics
- • Minimum Grade C / 4 GCSE or equivalent in 4 other subjects to include a science based subject
Skills
Essential criteria
- • Excellent written and oral communication skills
- • Willing to undertake any necessary training
- • Physical ability and dexterity required
- • Ability to work on own initiative
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- • An aptitude and interest in the practical and theoretical study of engineering
Desirable criteria
- • Have an understanding of relevant health and safety issues
