An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Radiology department at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (STNHSFT) for a Band 7 Plain Film Team Lead Community Plain Film Radiographer to work within the Sites of STNHSFT. The services within the community sites are varied and host a wide range of clinics including those held by consultants from the acute sector. The post is to cover maternity leave and for internal applicants only.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be a role model for demonstrating our Trust's values through their leadership attributes and be committed to providing high quality, patient focussed patient care.
Although the successful candidate will be employed by STNHSFT, there will be an expectation of collaborative working across the Tees Valley in the future should the need be required. However, this role is primarily for STNHSFT Community Plain Film services. The successful candidate will work on the Community Plain Film roster STNHSFT and work across all service sites. Successful candidates will be an employee of STNHSFT and managed as per the governance arrangements currently in place for Radiology and the organisation.

Leadership and Improvement Training
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to:

· Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skills
· Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- BSc or Msc Radiography or DCR (R) Evidence of post graduate study at a Masters level (post grad cert/MSc)
- HCPC Registration
Desirable criteria
- Post graduate education in leadership
Experience
Essential criteria
- To have evidenced experience within radiology imaging areas
- Computer Literacy Manual Handling Skills- of patients and complex radiographic equipment
Desirable criteria
- Clinical audit
- Evidence of leading a team
- Previous experience undertaking staff appraisals

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
