Exciting opportunity for an organised and efficient administrator to join our team on a permanent basis.
In this role, you'll be providing an effective personal assistant and secretarial service to Associate Director of Operations for Mental Health Inpatients and Crisis Services, Head of Nursing and Head of Psychology.
You'll be required to manage your day-to-day workload and use your own initiative without supervision which will require informed judgement, excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritise competing demands.

Main duties of the job
- To act as a central point of contact for the Associate Director, Head of Nursing and Head of Psychology when they are off site.
- To manage the provision of an efficient and effective administration service by undertaking a wide range of administrative tasks.
- Be a key member of the team as well as supporting effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally.
- To organise meetings, appointments, diary, and hospitality arrangements as appropriate using own initiative to prioritise appointments whilst maintaining good public relations.
- To create and distribute agendas, attend meetings and provide an efficient note taking service in a formal setting, and undertake action points where appropriate and other key meetings.
- To maintain a comprehensive filing system including management of an effective bring forward system, initiating appropriate action to ensure the accurate processing, storage and future retrieval of all documentation.

Education / Qualifications and Relevant Experience
Essential criteria
- Good standard of general education including GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent qualification)
- Experience of working in a similar position
- Ability to prepare papers and appendices for meetings
Desirable criteria
- Previous NHS Experience
Skills and Aptitude
Essential criteria
- Ability to prioritise work, and work calmly under pressure to meet targets/deadlines, whilst often experiencing interruptions
- Experience of managing and developing staff including performance management
