Cornwall has led the way on a ground-breaking Clinical Associate Psychology (CAP) programme, the first of its kind anywhere in England and Wales.

Cornwall has and continues to develop a range of services including its CAMHS inpatient unit Sowenna, our countywide eating disorder service, MARRS service, targeted services and early intervention school-based teams.

As a CAMHS Nurse /Practitioner you will be responsible for providing full assessments, formulation and evidence based interventions to children, young people and their families, who are experiencing mental
health difficulties.

You will be responsible for maintaining an individual caseload, from referral to discharge, conducting routine and high priority assessments and interventions as appropriate and exercising autonomy. You will be liaising and providing advice, information and consultation to colleagues and other agencies.

Successful candidates will provide regular and ongoing consultation, joint work, training and advice to other professionals in relation to child and adolescent mental health to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
