RCHT NHS Trust Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme, eCare, will underpin everything we do for our patients, our people, and our communities, as well as creating a working environment renowned for excellence and innovation that enables our staff to deliver safe and compassionate care every day.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with proven IT application training experience and communication skills who will be delivering a curriculum of relevant and effective training courses to learners.
Working with members of the training team, the successful candidate will be delivering quality, consistent and professional IT training to staff in both clinical and non-clinical applications. You will also be responsible for creating training plans, course support materials, end user guides, as well as developing innovative ways of delivery and engaging learners.
This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week currently Monday to Friday however part time hours will be considered. It may be necessary for the post holder to work as part of an on-call rota and participate in flexible working hours in order to provide training or out of hours support to Cornwall Healthcare Community.
Unfortunately, due to budgetary constraints we are unable us to support visa sponsorship for this role.
The recruiting panel will therefore only be able to consider applications from candidates that already possess the right to work in the UK for the duration of the fixed term contract.

Experience
Essential criteria
- 3 years IM&T related experience or a related degree
- Previous training position, proven experience of teaching class sizes up to 10 people of varying skill levels and backgrounds.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of writing training materials, lesson planning, course development, health related work experience
- Awareness of IM&T issues in the NHS especially related to the NHS Connecting for Health programme
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Degree or equivalent 3 years IM&T experience
- IT qualification such as ECDL, professional training/teaching qualification
Desirable criteria
- Level 1 adult literacy, numeracy & language certificate
Practical / Intellectual Skills
Essential criteria
- Substantial MS Windows & MS Office specialist knowledge or Good MS Office skills
- Substantial specialist knowledge of Health related software such as EROS, PAS, Maxims
- Excellent presentation, planning and communication skills
- e-tutor and e-learning skills
- Trouble shooting and diagnostic skills in the classroom
Desirable criteria
- NHS experience
- Project management skills
- Experience of e-learning materials development
Additional Information
Essential criteria
- Must be prepared to work outside normal office hours including evenings & weekends as required.
- Willing to work at all training sites throughout Cornwall
- Willing to travel, attend training and willing to drive to deliver training throughout the Health Community 3 or 4 days in every week as required
- Use of VDU equipment on a daily basis often for prolonged periods of time
- Smart appearance
- Will often have to carry presentation equipment and laptops to training venues
