Job overview

Would you like to join the supportive, inclusive, and dynamic Department of Clinical Health Psychology at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT)?

Are you interested in developing integrated and embedded psychological approaches for patients experiencing acute and persistent pain?

Do you enjoy collaboration and working in teams with diverse colleagues to creatively broaden and deepen patient facing services?

Are you passionate about holistic approaches to pain management and introducing these at the earliest stage of a patients’ journey?

Would you like to work alongside multidisciplinary team colleagues to offer joint consultations and support reflective practice?

If your answer is yes, then we would be delighted to hear from you via an application and informal discussion/visit.

The postholder will provide joint work and formulation with Consultant Physicians, Clinical Nurse Specialists and on an ad hoc basis for inpatient requests.  The role will also provide assessments as part of the Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) pathway and offer team reflective practice.  There is also potential for further team expansion and development through supervision models and trainee placements.

The post holder will be in the exciting position of working closely with Pain clinicians and managers to shape psychological provision for patients, their families, and staff.
