We are currently looking for Sterile Services Technician to join us in our busy Sterile Services Department. The Department provides an important service within the Hospital, Decontaminating and Sterilizing Surgical instruments for the Operating Theatres/Wards, Departments and external customers. The Department is fully accredited to British, International and European Standards and works within a Quality System.
3 x vacancy Monday to Friday 1400-2200
2 x vacancy Monday to Thursday 2200-0630, Friday 2200-0330
Applicants will also be given training to cover the full range of the decontamination cycle for surgical instruments and theatre sets which will contribute towards the achievement of the IDSC Certificate in Decontamination for re-usable medical devices.
Main duties of the job
This is a varied role requiring many different skills, for which we will provide full training. You must have GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent and willing to become familiar with many different instruments and sundries. Previous Sterile Services experience is helpful although not essential but you must be able to communicate well, work within a team and take instruction.
