Main duties of the job

Healthcare Assistants will work as part of the Endoscopy team under the supervision of registered nurses and midwives and:

Participates in the delivery of patient care.

Contributes towards ward/department organisation.

Supports registered nurses in the provision of a safe and caring environment.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE Maths & English or Equivalent
  • NVQ 2 in Health Care or Equivalent
  • Clinical skills e.g. venepuncture, blood transfusion, aseptic non touch technique
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Level 3 in Direct Care

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience in a care setting
  • Previous hospital experience
Desirable criteria
  • Previous endoscopy experience

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Computer literate
  • Competent in English Language – written and verbal
  • Adaptability to cope with changing workload
