Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is the biggest provider of healthcare services in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Our 3 main sites are Royal Cornwall Hospital Truro, St Michael’s Hospital Hayle and West Cornwall Hospital Penzance, our staff and services are available across the region.

Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s, 2 of which need to be English and Maths (or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 3 in acute care (or equivalent) / working towards qualification.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Substantive experience of working in a healthcare role involving in direct patient care.
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of working within cancer services.
- Previous experience of working in a Day Case Facility.
- Previous experience of working in acute hospital setting.
Skills
Essential criteria
- Venepuncture.
- Recording a 12 Lead ECG.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
Desirable criteria
- Cannulation skills
- Venesection skills
