Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Full apprenticeship in joinery/carpentry
- NVQ Level 3 in joinery/carpentry or equivalent
- Trada certificate of competence (fire door installation and maintenance)
Desirable criteria
- NHS HTM05 fire safety awareness and knowledge
- Certificate in fire compartmentation repair
- Scaffolding/working at height safety qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working within a preventative maintenance industry
- Experience of training apprentices and other tradespersons
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of working within a healthcare setting
- Asbestos awareness training and experience
Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Good communication skills
- Multi-skilled
- Knowledge and experience of risk and task assessment
- Computer literate
- Able to travel between NHS sites
Desirable criteria
- Able to interpret policy and guidance documents
- Willingness to undertake extra training
