Our HR/People Services Directorate has an exciting opportunity to work within the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) Services team, to be at the forefront of system development, engagement and data management.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic database administrator to lead, support and provide day to day supervision to a team of ESR administrators and who shares our Trust values of kindness, respect, collaboration and ambition.
This role will involve supporting a team of ESR Systems Assistants responsible for data input into the ESR System including new starters, leavers and terminations. You will also be responsible for acting as a point of escalation for the team, investigating queries and complaints, service development, reporting/analytics, systems administration, project management and much more.
This is a great opportunity to develop transferable skills, whilst supporting our front line services, and working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation to provide an efficient and effective service. The role requires use of web based systems, including ESR (Electronic Staff Record) and Microsoft Office applications. Full training on our systems will be provided to the successful candidate.

Please note the cost of the DBS check is increasing from 2nd December and the new cost will be
Standard DBS check £21.50, Enhanced DBS check £49.50 + any admin costs.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:
Standard Check: £18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
Enhanced Check: £38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90. Deducted at £11.90 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.

Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent or level of knowledge
Knowledge
