We provide both a well-woman screening service (NHSBSP) and a busy symptomatic imaging service.  The North Lancashire and South Cumbria Breast Screening Service invites around 117,000 women every three years for screening. The service has two mobile units, as well as three static sites at:

- Royal Lancaster Infirmary

- Westmorland General Hospital

- Furness General Hospital

- Mobile Screening Van which rotates around the Blackpool, Fleetwood, Preston, Lytham and Poulton le Fylde region.

Successful candidates will travel across Lancashire and South Cumbria in close proximity of the scenic Lake District.

We are well equipped with new GE Pristina and 3D Mammography sets, with stereotactic biopsy capabilities.

Whilst the role would be based at Royal Lancaster Infirmary, there would be a requirement to work across all screening sites to meet the need of the service.

The role will also entail providing a symptomatic imaging service.

Candidates are very welcome to arrange a visit to our Breast Unit to discuss a potential move into Mammography.
