Job overview

Due to the rapid expansion of Chesterfield Royal Hospital,  DSFS  Ltd are looking to recruit a number of Domestic Patient Services Assistants.   As part of the Patient Services Assistants role it is expected of the right candidate to provide a high standard of cleanliness to the clinical areas and is responsible for the efficient cleaning of areas to required specified standards in line with Trust Policy within the given timescales.

Full training will be given along with a free uniform, free parking, access to the NEST pension and a fulfilling role that gives a sense of achievement,  we also offer enhanced pay at weekends and bank holidays ( +40% )

Positions available are : 

17:00 - 20:00 Mon to Fri Supernumerary = 15 hours

 09:00 - 14:00 Rota Based Supernumerary = 22.5 hours

07:30 - 15:30 Rota Based Supernumerary = 30 hours

*Rota basis which will include some weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit a hardworking, enthusiastic individual to join our Domestic Services Team to provide a high quality domestic service to Chesterfield Royal Hospital working within our ward or outpatient departments.

Your duties will include the cleaning of the wards, departments, public and staff areas, alongside your colleagues working as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained for patients, staff and visitors following agreed work schedules, methods and procedures in accordance with the National Standards of Cleanliness. 

Cleaning experience is desirable however new starters to Domestic Patient Service Assistant roles will undergo training on work methods and protocols etc.

Candidates will need to be physically fit due to the nature of the work and the post will be subject to a standard DBS check.
